The blade of machine added deep hole drill bits can be interchanged, and the blade body of machine added deep hole drill bits can be used permanently. The blade can be replaced.

Welding type deep hole drill bits and machine added deep hole drill bits both use a process method of using an oil feeder to supply coolant and discharge chips inside. They can drill deep holes on solid materials such as carbon steel and alloy steel, with a length to diameter ratio of up to 1:100.
